I understand that I would need a card from a bank in the US and a US billing and sending address. I don’t have a credit card from a bank in the US. I figure I can get the Kindle 2 from VPOST. However, what about the downloading of Kindle books? Would I be able to download the books without a US based credit card?

when does amazon’s kindle get new books?

i am going to get one of amazon’s kindle, but they don’t have many of the books i want. does anyone know if they will update their stock before september of this year? i’d love to be able to have one, but there are SO few of the books i want on there. for instance, the outsiders, a classic, is not on there. none of s.e. hinton’s books are. and lots of the ones i want aren’t.
thanks to the first poster, but the reader has less books that i’m looking for than the kindle.
